ARCABUZ

While I was at Ken Okuyama Design, I was involved in the bottle design for Arcabuz, a rum produced on Tanegashima island. Since the bottle's shape theme was based on a matchlock gun, I designed the main logo's 'Z' to resemble the muzzle of a matchlock, and used the shape of the matchcord for the icon. Also, because the fresh green hue of the sugarcane was a distinctive characteristic, I incorporated an illustration of sugarcane. The design won the Best Bottle Design Award at the WORLD RUM AWARDS 2024 and the Excellence Award at the Glass Bottle Awards 2025.
